Welcome to Lady Lake, Florida and amazing central Florida.

There are so many cool things to do in this part of Florida that you can stay here for a month and never go to the same place twice.

Here is our list of the most interesting and hidden treasures in this area of Florida.

Lake Griffin State Park - State parks are always worth the trip. You can hike, fish, and walk through 400-year-old stands of oak. There are 620 acres of exploration and fun. Not only can you paddle on the swamp, but they offer guided tours. There are two hiking trails that are 2 miles long total.

It’s a great place to see wildlife in the middle of a major US state. The park boasts raccoons, bobcats, coyotes, and bears. It’s an ideal place to take a break from the city and see true Southern wildlife.

Uncle Donald’s Farm - Once upon a time, almost everyone had a branch of the family that still lived “on the farm.” Today, that’s a lot less common, but the joy of spending the day on a farm is still a lot of fun for the whole family. Uncle Donald’s Farm, located right here in Lady Lake, is a great place to play.

You can milk a goat, pet a pig, or feed a cow. Visit the llamas and ostriches on the hayride. They also have “heritage” breeds of chickens so the children can see that chickens are more than those little white birds. There’s even a baby gator in the barn!

Swamp Fever Airboat Adventures - If you’re coming to central Florida, take time to ride an airboat through the swamps. Swamp Fever Airboat Adventures will take you on an exciting ride to see alligators and turtles in the swamp. Central Florida is home to some of the world’s most beautiful birds and these folks can take you to see them.

GatorWorld Parks of Florida, Inc. - Just outside Lady Lake, in Wildwood, FL, there is a Florida tradition, a gator park. This park features over 400 rescued and relocated alligators. The gator park experience is something that people have been doing since the 1950s.

Gator World has a dual mission: let people see these amazing creatures and rescue some of these animals from unsavory ends. “The way we acquire alligators for the park is to purchase them from trappers who would otherwise euthanize them,” the owner, Don Buckner notes, “and we also purchase smaller gators from harvesting operations planning to use them as materials for products.”

While you’re in Lady Lake, stay at Blue Parrot RV Resort. Not only are you minutes from some of Florida’s biggest attractions, like Walt Disney World, LEGOLAND, and Busch Gardens, but also many smaller attractions like those listed above.
Blue Parrot has everything you need to relax at your temporary home: Bingo, craft classes, WiFi, a 9-hole golf course, and lots more to do. If you’re coming to central Florida, stay with us at Blue Parrot RV Resort and get to see the astounding sites of this great state.

I like that you talked about how it would be an exciting ride to be on an airboat tour while being able to see alligators and turtles in the swamp. I would love to book a tour like that for once in my life because it would seem to be a thrilling ride. Probably, I would book this kind of tour for my 30th birthday next year with some friends to have a unique celebration experience.
